Brief 1: "Creative Sparge"

**(Updated 09/01/14)**
The initial idea behind the brief for Creative Sparge was that I would create a website that acts as a portal for clients to contact me and give me briefs.

After some crits however it was communicated to me that because this was supposed to be a long running brief of over 7 months, that the amount of work at the end may not reflect a 7 months brief. For example, I could get a lot of work, or very little work in that time frame.

This research below acted as my starting point when looking at setting up a single page website for Creative Sparge.

Whilst the colour split of this backdrop is, in my opinion distracting, the menu system and placement of brief descriptions are fluid. The client would be able to see exactly what they would be getting in a user friendly and therefore rapid manner.

Salt Surf

David McGillivray

These two designs jumped out immediately as they provide a blank canvas with simplistic easy navigation. The white on grey could prove hard to read for those with low-res displays, however I feel the aesthetic would provide a basic platform for my website.

The small logo acts as stamp on each brief without compromising a large amount of space.

Loom Rugs

Both Loom and Kamimura have amazing navigation systems and allow for each project to stand alone whilst not becoming lost on the screen. The photography of each brief would have to be consistent and of a very high standard if used.
