Case Study initial thoughts

My initial thoughts on brand building.

Brands need to be managed carefully with guidelines, without a set of rules, a company can give mixed signals and turn into something that they were never supposed to be. Founders of companies may not realise that this is happening, this is because they do not understand how brand develop works.

Brand management allows for external agencies to watch over a brands outlook, financial direction and monitor the public's opinion on the company. These agencies give a voice to brands, how they do this will no doubt vary from industry to industry, e.g a food brand is different to a sports brand. The only thing that connects all industries is the desire and need to grow in size and popularity, which both lead to a bigger fiscal worth.

Communication is key between a brand and it's audience, and visa versa. The message that is given must be easy to read, understand and relate to each individual that it is directed towards.
Communication must be memorable and have impact.

Brands need support and recommendations from agencies in order to run their own company, just because someone has the desire to start a furniture business and change the world of interior design whilst making millions of pounds doing so, it does'nt mean that they know how to do this efficiently and effectively.
