Summary
The presentation went very well, because it was a small group of 5 that came to see the work, everyone introduced themselves and everything was very friendly.
We pitched over the period of 10 minutes and took 20 minutes of questions and discussion, there was a level of pressure as we had put 2 weeks of work into the concept and pitch. One of the committee is a graphic designer and therefore we wanted to impress him especially in order for him to understand our points of view.
The idea of community was a large part of the pitch which was well received by the committee.
Before we wrapped up the pitch and Q&A everyone was interested in what plans we had after University, presumably to check we were all staying locally, this gave us the chance to sell the Say My Name studio for the first time.
The committee was impressed and agreed our studio name was a solid concept, this was a great boost for us in an otherwise deflating year for confidence and spirit.
We were told at this point that the festival committee would be in touch this week and would take us on board as a studio to work on elements of the festival including the logo, layouts and photogram typography. The website has already been finalise but the ideas of mailing list and countdown timer was taken on board and will be included in the final design.
A fantastic result at this point in the year and the early stages of Say My Name.
