Brief 2: Owen final shots

In order to begin promoting myself towards print studios and potential employers, I took a trip to Ikea to be pro active about photographic the work. I scouted a location which offered a low-fi aesthetic, an underground car park was a great opportunity to get some well lit shots.

The trouble with the tungsten lighten is that it made the small type at the base of each poster fall flat against the stock and unfortunately is illegible. Overall the work turned out well and I am pleased to have them framed.

This outcome is a double print in fluroecent inks for Mike Kinsella’s music project ‘Owen’. My research into Mike Kinsella showed that a 90’s bright artwork would represent his music in the best light. Producing a two poster set helps anchor the idea of a musician having two musical identities.
