Brief 2: Interim Evaluation

This project turned from a couple of fan posters into a larger project which will eventually span the entire of Level 06, resulting in 26 screen printed posters. At this stage I would prefer, and should be further ahead with screen printing the posters, I aimed to produce 1 a week, however after crits with peers and my own personal reflection, some of the artwork was not to the quality I would be pleased with in the end of year show.

Screen printing within this project has given me the vision for the final year show, even at this early stage in the year, when I set out to complete the 26 posters, I knew that I wanted something tactile and artistic. Ultimately they show my synergy with hand rendering artwork for print and acts as a way of expressing my visions in a confident way.

I am behind by around 6 posters at this stage but know that I will catch up by the start of January, there were unforeseen double bookings and large amounts of drop in slots booked up which prevented me from printing 4 posters for the interim submission of which I have the separations for.. This leaves me with the knowledge that I must create 2 posters from concept to print in this time also.

This project is one that I am most happy with and looking forward to completing due to the great feedbck and welcoming I have received in the public eye. I have had one of the posters hung in an exhibition and band members for The Boxer Rebellion have asked for the poster to be given to them for their studio.
