Brief 7: Specimen booklet layout - Name.

I have been mainly working on the design and layout of the specimen booklet in order to wrap things up within the next 7-10 days. I have been struggling with the name of the font and feel that discussing this with Natalie in depth will allow us to pin point a name which reflects the disease but also includes other medical conditions. 


Name
'Involve' has been picked due to feedback from the last crit with 6 peers, this reflects the idea of getting people involved with the information through the use of a playful typeface.

Layout
After laying a basic set of spreads out, Natalie then suggested a few tweaks and changes for the visual way in which the type would be read across several spreads.

Natalie has suggested using vinyl on the front cover for some visual impact and to stimulate touch as a added depth to the interaction.

Stock
As I thought it would be good to include some colouring in sheets and to allow for an easy transition from colouring fun to health information, we have gone with a neutral bulky newsprint for the inner pages. This reflects the colouring book appearance.
